Emily Kerpelman, Master’s Student

Hi, I’m Emily! I’m currently working as a therapy intern, completing my Marriage and Family graduate training at Capella University. I come to this work with a deep respect for each person’s lived experience and a belief that healing happens best in spaces that are nonjudgmental, compassionate, and collaborative.

I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and have spent the past eight years working as a life coach using this model with individuals. This experience has deepened my understanding of the many “parts” we all carry and the power of curiosity, radical acceptance, and compassion in fostering lasting change. I view symptoms not as problems to be eliminated, but as signals pointing toward unmet needs and protective strategies that once served an important purpose.

My approach is collaborative and strengths-based. I strive to create a supportive space where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered to reconnect with their inner wisdom. I believe that with compassion and the right support, people can develop a more trusting relationship with themselves and move toward greater clarity, balance, and authenticity in their lives.Therapy with me is collaborative and rooted in your inherent worth. Together, we’ll gently explore what no longer serves you and reconnect you to the most resilient, authentic version of yourself.

If you have a sense that you might like to work with Emily, please don’t hesitate to contact us to arrange an initial phone conversation to assess the potential of working together.
