Jackson Phillips, Resident In Counseling
Jackson Phillips is a resident in counseling with Full Life, and a graduate of William and Mary’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. He draws on family systems theory, attachment theory, and above all uses a person centered approach to form safe and supportive relationships with clients. He works to center clients' experiences while exploring the effects of systems of oppression at play in our lives.
Jackson sees life as a constant learning experience and strives to continue growing as a person and counselor every day. As he has learned in some of the hardest moments of his life, no matter how difficult it may feel, there should be no shame in asking for help, as we humans thrive in community. It is his belief that fighting through adversity can be an opportunity to discover unexpected wells of strength within ourselves, and that in overcoming challenges we often progress beyond the boundaries of what we believe ourselves capable of.
He looks forward to connecting with clients by using a collaborative approach, providing unconditional support, and encouraging their self exploration. Jackson believes that frequently creating little moments of joy and cultivating a genuine authentic sense of wellbeing is something every person is deserving of, whether they are struggling with anxiety, depression, questions about their identity, trauma, relationship difficulties, or any of the many other challenges that come across our paths.
Jackson offers clinical services under the supervision of Hunter Teets, MA LPC VA license #0701005525.
Fees: Base rate is $242. Jackson is able to accept Aetna, Cigna and most medicaid plans.
