Affordable Therapy

While many people are interested in therapy, the cost can be somewhat prohibitive. At Full Life, we offer several possibilities to help people to find affordable high quality therapy in our practice and with other providers online.

Hunter Teets is now working with the AEDP Institute’s research team. He is currently offering some low fee spots to people who are willing to participate in the AEDP Institutes’ ongoing 16-session research study. You can read more about it here. Please reach out to us if you are interested in participating as a patient.

Another option to consider is working with one of our student interns. Student interns have completed a substantial portion of their graduate training and work under the supervision of at least two licensed clinicians. They offer counseling services at a reduced rate. Ella Beck is a Masters level intern who provides individual and couples counseling at a lower rate as she works under the direct supervision of Hunter Teets and her clinical supervisor at Roosevelt University in Chicago. Sarah Teets is also a Masters level intern who offers individual and group counseling under the supervision of Jordan Leahy, LPC, and her clinical supervisor at South University, Richmond.

In addition to individual and couples counseling, we also offer counseling groups that are both highly effective and less expensive than individual therapy. Our next round of groups are two 13 week cohorts of men’s groups starting on April 6th and 9th.

Several of our therapists offer services through Open Path Psychotherapy Collective. Open Path describes their mission as follows: “Our nonprofit serves clients who lack health insurance or whose health insurance doesn’t provide adequate mental health benefits. These clients also cannot afford current market rates for therapy (between $80-200 a session). We help our members access their choice of affordable in-person or online care from a vetted mental health professional.” People interested in finding a therapist through Open Path must apply to verify their eligibility and pay a one-time fee of $65, but that fee is more than recovered through the substantial reduction in treatment fees. Student interns on Open Path offer services for $30 per session. To learn more, visit Open Path’s website here.

If you want to start therapy and are having trouble finding a therapist you can afford, you are always welcome to call or email us, and one of our clinicians can discuss your options so that we can help you find the therapy you need at a price you can afford. Our contact information is available here.
